Nissan Center Cap Sizes — 54 mm Cars, 63 mm Trucks & SUVs
Nissan's published cap lineup splits cleanly in two, and the split runs along vehicle type. The cars take a small cap, the trucks and SUVs take a bigger one, and the gap between them is 9 mm — far too wide for any "close enough" thinking.
The 54 mm family: Rogue Sport and Quest
The smaller Nissan cap measures 54 mm OD with a 2.125 in clip ID, under OEM part numbers 40343-AU51A and 40343-2DR0A, listed for the Rogue Sport and Quest. Fifty-four millimetres is at the small end of the car-cap world (most car caps run roughly 50–80 mm), and it's a good example of why crossover-era naming confuses people: a Rogue Sport sounds like a small SUV, but its cap belongs to the small-car family.
The 63 mm family: trucks and SUVs
The bigger published family is a 63 mm (2.5 in) cap under OEM number 40342-6TA1A, listed across the Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Pathfinder and Rogue. Note the plain Rogue lands here while the Rogue Sport takes the 54 — two vehicles with nearly the same name, two different caps, 9 mm apart. If you take one lesson from this page, take that one: trim and model-variant names are not fitment data.
And the number that isn't a cap size
Nissan Altima and Rogue wheels center on a 66.1 mm hub bore. It appears in fitment tables right next to cap information, it's bigger than both cap families, and it fits neither. Sellers copy it into listings; buyers order by it; caps get returned. The bore centers the wheel on the hub. The cap clips into its own opening at 54 or 63 mm depending on family. Keep the two in separate mental drawers.
The Leaf proves the point
Look at the 63 mm family's application list once more: Frontier and Pathfinder are trucks and SUVs, as you'd expect — and then there's the Leaf, an electric hatchback, and the Kicks, a small crossover. Vehicle type is a rough guide to Nissan's families, not a rule. What actually sorts the brand is the part-number prefix: 40343-… for the 54 mm family, 40342-… for the 63 mm family. That makes Nissan one of the easiest brands on this site to shop correctly — if a listing title says "fits Rogue" with no number and no dimensions, it's asking you to guess between two caps 9 mm apart. Don't. Find the listings that publish the number, then run the caliper over the cap you already own.
