The right center cap is a measurement,
not a vehicle name.
A center cap is the small disc that snaps into the middle of your wheel, covering the hub and axle nut. It looks simple — until you order one by year and model, it arrives, and it's 2 mm too small. Center caps are sized to the wheel, not the truck or car, and the same model can wear a dozen different wheels.

What is an OEM center cap?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) center cap is the factory cap designed for a specific wheel. It does three jobs:
- Protection — it seals the center bore against water, road salt, brake dust and grit that corrode the hub and axle nut.
- Retention safety — a correctly sized cap locks in with an interference fit. A wrong-size cap rattles, sits crooked, or pops off at highway speed.
- Finish — it's the badge in the middle of every wheel. A missing cap makes a clean truck look neglected.
Most factory caps are ABS plastic with plastic snap-in clips or a metal spring ring. Trucks and older wheels also use push-through caps and big lug-cover caps that span the whole lug pattern. Each style is covered in the Fitment Guide.
Why fit is everything
1 mm is the difference
Center cap sizing is metric and tight. A cap that's 1 mm small won't lock; 1 mm big won't seat. There is no "close enough."
Same truck, different cap
An F-150 can carry a 3-inch snap-in cap on one factory wheel and a 180 mm lug-cover cap on another. Trim and wheel option decide the cap — not the badge on the fender.
Two numbers get mixed up
Sellers confuse cap diameter with the wheel's hub center bore (87.1 mm on an F-150). They're different measurements. Mixing them up is the #1 cause of wrong orders — we explain both in the guide.

Buying optionsWhy buyers check here first
oemcentercaps.com is a young site, so instead of borrowed star ratings, here is what you can verify about us right now — and how to leave a review of your own.
Measured fitment
Every size on this site traces to a cited source, and every guide ends with the caliper check that confirms it on your own wheel. If a chart and your caliper disagree, we tell you to believe the caliper.
OEM part numbers
We publish the part-number families — 44732, 1LB77, 52960, 42603 and the rest — because the number molded on your cap's back is the surest search there is.
Conflicts in the open
Where sources disagree (Tesla, Mazda), we publish the disagreement with every source named, instead of quietly picking a winner. Accuracy is the brand.
