Hyundai & Kia Center Caps — Reading the 52960 Number Family
Hyundai and Kia are siblings under one roof, and their center caps share a filing system: the part-number pattern 52960-xxxxx covers both brands. Documented examples: Hyundai's 52960-3X300, the Kia K900's 52960-J6100, and the Kia Sportage's 52960-P1700. Learn the pattern and you can identify a Korean cap from across the parts counter.
The suffix is the application
The 52960 prefix says "center cap"; the suffix says which wheel family it belongs to. Two caps can share the prefix and differ in diameter, depth and finish — so the full number is the search term, never the prefix alone. The molding on the back of your old cap carries the whole thing.
The Elantra lesson
Hyundai's own range shows why generation matters: the Elantra's cap changed size between generations — about 66 mm around 2011, about 60 mm around 2017. Same model name, different cap. Any Hyundai or Kia listing that doesn't state a diameter and a part number is asking you to gamble; the caliper check (OD across the face, ID across the clip tips) takes a minute and ends the argument.
