Audi Center Cap Size — the 60 mm OE Cap (4B0601170)
Audi keeps its mainstream car range on one documented cap: 60 mm, published by DEZENT's OE-cap fitment guide and carried in Audi's own cap instruction manual under OEM number 4B0601170. A4, A6 and their era-mates run variations of that cap — same geometry family, different faces and finishes across the years.
One size, many faces
The 60 mm figure is the family measurement; the emblem treatment changed repeatedly — ring finishes, grey versus chrome, flat versus slightly domed faces. Two caps can both be genuine 60 mm Audi caps and look nothing alike on the shelf. That's why the order of operations on this brand is part number first (the molding on the back of your old cap), measurement second, listing photo last.
The SUV exception
Audi's large SUVs run bigger hardware outside the 60 mm car family — the Q5's cap, for example, carries its own number (8R0601165) and its own dimensions. Never order a Q-series cap off the car-range number. If your Audi sits high and the wheel is large, treat the 60 mm figure as a car figure and measure your own cap or wheel opening directly.
