Porsche Center Cap Size — 76 mm OD, 3-inch ID (911, Macan, Cayenne)
Porsche fitment has a pleasing symmetry to it: the caps published for the 911, Macan and Cayenne measure 76 mm OD with a 3 in clip ID. A sports car, a compact SUV and a full-size SUV sharing a cap family is a tidy reminder that caps follow wheel engineering, not vehicle categories — and that a Porsche cap is, at the end of the day, a measured part like any other.
Two numbers, both worth checking
Most caps on this site get shopped by their outer diameter because that's the number listings print in the headline. Porsche's published spec hands you both halves of the fitment: the 76 mm face diameter and the 3 inch (about 76 mm) clip diameter. When you verify a used or replacement cap, check both. The OD tells you the cap matches the family's look and face size; the clip ID is the number that actually has to agree with your wheel opening for the cap to stay on the car.
Screw-on territory
Porsche sits in the part of the market where retention styles diversify. Across luxury and performance wheels generally, screw-on caps — held by small Torx or Allen screws rather than spring clips — are common, alongside the usual snap-in styles. Before ordering, look at the back of your existing cap and identify how it's held. A cap with the right diameter and the wrong retention is a cap that doesn't install, and diameter charts can't save you from that one. Our retention styles comparison walks through all five styles and how to identify each.
The measure-first rule doesn't bend for badges
Porsche wheels span decades of designs, diameters and special editions, and the published 76 mm family is a starting point, not a promise about every wheel that ever left Stuttgart with a crest on it. The workflow is the same here as it is on a Corolla: run the vehicle through the Cap Finder, read the part number off the back of your old cap, and confirm OD and clip ID with the caliper method on the How to Measure page. The crest costs more than a Toyota badge. The caliper doesn't care, and neither does the fitment.
A note on used Porsche caps
Because genuine caps carry genuine prices, the used market is active — and so are listings with optimistic fitment claims. Buy the listings that publish full dimensions and a part number, measure what arrives before the return window closes, and check clip condition on anything used: a cap with tired clips at the right diameter still ends up on the highway shoulder. More on that in our guide to buying used OEM caps.

That model is exactly why our advice starts with a caliper instead of a checkout button.
